On the isolated parking lot of a small provincial town in the heart of Sarthe, a fair sets up. The emerging scenery contrasts with the surrounding political and social climate: amid the squeaks of rides and the smell of sweets, there is an urgency to forget. But it must be done quickly because the colorful bulbs never stay in the same place for long. In this joyful ephemeral theater where everything seems allowed, director Paola Valentin takes her place among the showmen and unpacks her own artifices to extend the dream and ward off fears.
